Randy Brown, Owner

For over 15 years Randy Brown has helped athletes and weekend warriors of all sports in Richmond recover from injuries, increase their mobility, find freedom from pain, relax tired muscles.

As the sports massage therapist for VCU’s track team, Randy ensures that the team’s talented athletes stay ready to race in top form.

His unique style of deep-tissue, sports, and therapeutic massage, combined with Active Isolated Stretching, works out even the tightest muscles. Randy’s approach employs massage therapy and stretching to get to the source of the pain and retrain the muscle to lengthen and relax.

Randy’s passion for massage therapy runs deep. As an athlete himself he understand the stiffness of tight muscles and the importance of sports massage therapy and stretching to preventing and relieving pain and achieving top performance. He came to sports massage as a second career and couldn’t be happier that every day he gets to help people feel great. In addition to completing a comprehensive training program at the Richmond Academy of Massage, Randy has done extensive coursework in Active Isolated Stretching. He is certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and is a Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

Polly arnott, Massage Therapist

Polly Arnott is a Massage Therapist and Holistic Health Coach with deep experience. She comes to us from Jackson Hole, Wyoming – an extreme sport haven – where she worked side by side with Physical Therapists to performed injury specific massage to improve recovery on injured athletes. In private practice, she also worked with a wide range of clients and has designed plans for people of all ages – including the very young and older members of the community. She works to understand each of her clients’ individual needs to create a plan that clients can stick with. She knows: You are unique.  By carefully listening to her clients, Polly picks-up on her clients’ particular frustrations and obstacles. Her resourceful and encouraging attitude allows her to guide clients to implement positive, stress free changes. She believes small adjustments foster big results. 

Polly loves many outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, skiing and camping. In addition to outdoor activities, she enjoys spending free time with her two girls, family and many friends. She comes from a big Italian family so it’s no surprise she loves eating good food and gardening.

David Younkins, Massage Therapist

David has been working with the human body for 16 years as a personal trainer focusing on post-rehabilitation, a nutrition coach, and a health coach.  His focus has been transitioning people from out of physical therapy or injury and back into the activities they enjoy.  His philosophy is that, since one of the prime risk factors for future injury is previous injury, we need to be better at rehabilitating people completely and catching problems before they progress.
David has a bachelor’s in Kinesiological Sciences from the University of Maryland, and a master’s in Rehabilitation Science from California University of PA.  He is a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He is also working on an MPH in nutrition and is a certified nutrition coach, and so he can offer basic nutritional advice for healing and performance in the context of your sessions.   

His massage approach combines movement and orthopedic assessment with Swedish massage, myofascial release, ‘trigger point’ therapy, and stretching with some facilitated movement.  He also enjoys providing exercise home-care recommendations for the remediation of a client’s movement challenges.
